Without manually trawling through search engine listings, how can you
know which search engines your Web site is registered with, and on which
you could do with promoting it further? Site See Free can solve this
problem by connecting to AltaVista, OpenText, Magellan, Yahoo, Excite, HotBot,
WebCrawler, InfoSeek, Lycos, LinkStar, Galaxy and the
Yellow Pages and sending you back the rank your page has, and which
page it was on, if it appeared at all. It does occasionally time out, though.
You can also order the commercial
PositionAgent, which delves deeper into search engine listings, and sends
