| Why
have a Web site? More
and more businesses are creating their own Web
sites. But there are some things that you need to
ask before embarking on your own Internet launch.
What
do Web sites do?
Your
business Web site is an excellent way to provide
information to your customers in a way and at a
time which most suits them. It also provides an
easy way for them to communicate to you.
Will
a Web site generate business for me?
Yes,
your Web site will provide business for you as
long as it is properly designed and promoted. We
will help to promote your site by submitting it
to the Internet search engines, but you must also
tell your customers where to find it, e.g. by
featuring the address in your advertising and
letterheads.
What
is a good design?
There
are two elements of good Web site design.
Firstly,
it must work well technically. This means, for
example, that it must load quickly irrespective
of the type of system that the viewer is using,
it must have a good navigation system and it
should have the correct "tags" to
optimise the site's position in search engine
listings.
Secondly,
the design must suit the needs of the business.
It should be visually attractive and have
interesting content relevant to the users. It
should lead customers towards taking further
action.
